Cooley Dickinson Medical Group Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is where experienced, highly trained professionals advance the health of patients through specialized, expert treatment and prevention of musculoskeletal (bones, ligaments, muscles, tendons) problems. The practice’s holistic approach to orthopedics involves coordination of personalized services within the practice and with other providers, to ensure a comprehensive range of care to people of all ages.

We have combined expertise in all major orthopedic specialties, including sports medicine, orthopedic trauma, hand & upper extremities, joint replacement and spine care.

We are located at 4 West Street West Hatfield, MA 01088 and 170 University Drive, Amherst, MA 01002.

We are seeking a full-time 40-Hour Triage RN to supports both our West Hatfield office onsite Monday through Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5:00pm.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Triage RN, supporting our Orthopedics and Total Joint Replacement patients!

In this role, the RN will provide clinical triage, patient guidance, and care coordination. This RN will also lead our Total Joint Education classes, offered twice a week for one hour, held either in the morning or afternoon. These classes help prepare patients for their upcoming procedures and ensure they feel confident and informed.

Job Summary

Responsible for patient care and support within the outpatient setting through providing compassionate care, assisting in procedures, and collaborating effectively in a dynamic ambulatory care environment.

Does this position require Patient Care? Yes

• Deliver direct patient care and support, ensuring high nursing standards.
• Conduct patient assessments, devise care plans, and assist in outpatient procedures with a focus on patient comfort and safety.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post-procedure care.
• Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Administer medications, perform IV therapy, and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulations.
• Uphold infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

Education

Associate's Degree Nursing Required And Bachelor's Degree Nursing Preferred

Registered Nurse [RN - State License] - HR Only required

Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - preferred

Experience

Clinical nursing experience 0-1 year required and Ambulatory care or outpatient experience 1-2 years preferred
