System Analyst

Assist in and be capable of learning installation, operations, integration, ongoing maintenance, and support of systems (servers and applications).

Assist in and be capable of learning workflow analysis, data collection, reporting, database customization, enhancement, user training, and support of applications.

Assist in and be capable of learning database maintenance and optimization, security, disaster recovery, and routine updates/upgrades to existing servers and applications.

Assist in and be capable of learning project analysis, existing processes/application enhancement, and/or production of new processes/applications.

Assist in and be capable of learning troubleshooting and repair or recovery from software and/or hardware failures.

Contribute to and maintain standards, procedures, and documentation, research solutions, and recommend approaches to leverage resources and automate tasks.

Responsible for daily system monitoring for integrity and availability, log review, and verification of scheduled jobs, including backups.

Have knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate with customers/users to develop an understanding of their business objectives, application/system needs, and process flows.

Assist in and be capable of learning Unix and Windows environments, programming/scripting languages, and database operations and architecture.

Perform other duties as assigned.

• Demonstrates the ability to be self-sufficient, lead, and be responsible for supported systems.

Education/Skills

Minimum of an Associate Degree or equivalent education or extensive work experience in the direct applications/systems.

Work Experience:

Five or more years’ experience in IS preferred; healthcare experience preferred. It is desirable to have a working knowledge of customer departments' operations, including software/systems, and to be able to use an analytical approach. Organization ability and strong communication skills are required.

Exceptional oral and written skills are required. The individual must have the ability to perform as a team member, cooperate with others, manage conflict, prioritize multiple tasks, exhibit leadership, and demonstrate self-motivation. Ability to understand and analyze oral and written statements concerning a variety of business and technical problems. Ability to take orders and follow directions precisely and demonstrate initiative. Ability to perform duties under various levels of stress and time constraints.
