Job DescriptionBGIS ITS is currently seeking a Commercial HVAC Installer Support Technician to join the team in Hattiesburg, MS and surrounding areas. The role is on‑site unless otherwise indicated; the position is performed remotely but may require travel/driving to locations for training, meetings, and other in‑person events.
Compensation & Benefits- Salary range: $25 – $30 per hour
- Overtime authorized with supervisor approval
- Per diem: $55 per day; lodging provided for authorized out‑of‑town travel
- Paid Time Off: 48 hours to start, increasing to 168 hours with tenure
- Paid Holidays: 7 annually (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas)
- 401(k) match: 5% employer contribution

- At least 3–5 years HVAC experience with system replacement installations
- Strong foundation in HVAC systems and equipment installation, including electrical and mechanical components
- Proficient in pipe fitting, brazing, soldering, and refrigerant piping
- Diagnose and resolve installation issues during service
- Attention to detail for precise measurements, fittings, and system integration
- Excellent customer service communication
- Time‑management to meet project deadlines
- Adaptability across HVAC systems, brands, and evolving technologies
- Safety awareness; adherence to protocols
- Team collaboration with construction and other professionals
- Follow internal and external requirements for environmental, health, safety, security, and fire protection
- Flexibility to work overtime and travel as needed
Physical Requirements
- EPA certification required
- Must wear PPE and pass drug, background, and driver’s license checks
- Climb and descend ladders; lift up to 75 lbs.; maneuver in confined spaces (crawlspaces, attics, etc.)
- High school diploma or GED required; apprenticeship advantageous
- Strong mechanical and electrical fundamentals; familiarity with HVAC tools and equipment
- Manual dexterity, physical fitness, and ability to follow instructions
