A Kforce client is seeking to hire a Senior Accountant in Hauppauge, New York (NY).

Summary:

The Senior Accountant will maintain close contact with clients in assisting with all audits, accounting, bookkeeping (via Quick Books), and tax functions. As a Senior Accountant, you will report to partners and provide guidance to staff members. There is a lot of growth potential with very competitive compensation and nice offices and team culture. This job requires a car and is not a remote position.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA certification is a plus
• 3+ years of public accounting experience
• Solid audit with some tax compliance and Quick Books experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to prepare and analyze books and records, payroll/sales tax preparation of various tax returns:
  Individual, Partnership, Corporate, S-Corp, Estates and Trusts, Not for Profit, multi-state returns are a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
