We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Pharmacist Instructor to teach and support students in our Practical Nursing and Pharmacy Technician programs. The ideal candidate will bring real-world experience, a commitment to student success, and a collaborative approach to teaching foundational and applied concepts in pharmacology, medication administration, and pharmaceutical practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging instructional content related to pharmacology and pharmacy practice.
- Teach theory and practical components to both Practical Nursing and Pharmacy Technician students.
- Provide hands-on instruction in medication preparation, dosage calculations, drug classifications, and administration techniques.
- Ensure that instruction aligns with industry standards, program outcomes, and regulatory requirements (e.g., scope of practice for nurses and pharmacy techs).
- Evaluate and assess student performance through exams, practical demonstrations, and assignments.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
- Maintain accurate student records, grades, and attendance in accordance with institutional policies.
- Collaborate with program coordinators, fellow instructors, and support staff to ensure program effectiveness.
- Stay current with developments in the field of pharmacy and healthcare education.
- Participate in curriculum review and improvement initiatives as required.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm
D) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BScPharm) from an accredited institution. - Licensure:
- Must be a licensed and registered pharmacist in good standing with [insert applicable regulatory body].
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of recent practice experience in a pharmacy setting (community, hospital, or clinical).
- Prior teaching or training experience is an asset, especially in post-secondary or vocational education preferred.
- Skills & Attributes:

- Ability to adapt teaching styles to diverse learning needs.
- Proficient in Google Suite and learning management systems.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
