Responsibilities
  • Manage all phases of electrical and control equipment throughout the plant, including preventive, corrective, emergency, and warranty service.
  • Diagnose and solve electrical problems for manufacturing and packaging equipment and systems.
  • Install, service, calibrate, and update electrical systems.
  • Repair and/or replace faulty electrical parts in manufacturing and packaging equipment.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure that products or systems are safe and usable.
  • Troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLC) and industrial programmable controllers (IPC).
  • Assess building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules.
  • Develop maintenance procedures and schedules.
  • Ensure equipment maintenance and repair work are completed correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Plan and perform preventive maintenance programs (PMP) for equipment and facilities.
Education & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting (preferred).
  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering or related field (preferred) with at least three (3) years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working in pharmaceutical manufacturing (preferred).
  • Solid understanding of electronics, electrical systems, and mechanical engineering principles.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and computer operations.
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers and distributed control systems.
  • Ability to read electrical prints, P&IDs, and troubleshoot OMRON and Allen Bradley PLC hardware and logic.
  • Working knowledge of 480 V and 4160 V electrical switch gear, motors, and starters.
  • Experience working from complex drawings, manuals, and handbooks.
  • Proficiency with measuring instruments and electronic testing equipment.
  • Knowledge of electronic components, digital and analog circuitry, hydraulic systems, and machine‑tool principles.
  • Knowledge of GMP and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in industrial automation.
  • Ability to lead teams, facilitate execution, and complete work.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) in English.
  • Collaborative team player with ability to work across geographically dispersed teams.
  • Self‑directed, able to work independently with general supervision.
  • Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift fifteen (15) pounds with or without assistance.
  • Frequent standing, bending, walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping, feeling, talking, writing, typing, listening, and hearing.
  • Willingness to work any shift or site as required.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (less than 20%).
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hat, hair net, safety shoes, glasses, lab coat, and other required gear.
