Piper Companies is seeking a Director of Credit Policy and Loan Review
, to support a leading financial institution offering banking and lending services worldwide. The Director of Credit Policy and Loan Review will develop and enforce lending policies, review loan portfolios for risk and compliance, and provide oversight and reporting to ensure credit quality and regulatory adherence. This position will be onsite in Hauppauge, NY
Responsibilities of the Director of Credit Policy and Loan Review include:- Create and maintain credit policies and procedures to manage risk effectively.
- Conduct ongoing reviews of commercial, real estate, and consumer loan portfolios.
- Analyze credit portfolio performance to identify trends and potential risks.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior leadership on credit risk and portfolio health.
- Design and execute a loan review program to ensure compliance with underwriting standards and credit policies.
- 7+ years in banking or credit union operations, including three years in a leadership or influential role.
- 5+ years of experience in loan review, credit policy, credit analysis, underwriting, or similar areas.
- Hands-on underwriting experience in both commercial and residential lending.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain lending policies and procedures.
- Formal credit risk training or certification strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, risk management, or accounting, or at least seven years of directly related experience.
- Salary: $180,000 - $200,000
