Risk Manager/Analyst, CFO
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a VP of Business & Commercial Lending to support a growing credit union focused on expanding its commercial and business lending capabilities. This position is Hybrid in Hauppauge Long Island, NY. This is a direct-hire opportunity supporting a member‑focused financial institution committed to strengthening local businesses and communities. The specialist will lead the credit union’s commercial lending strategy, portfolio growth, and lending team performance.
Your work will directly support the credit union’s mission to empower members, fuel small business success, and drive sustainable financial growth.
- Establishing lending objectives, strategies, and practices to meet financial, service, and growth goals
- Leading business development efforts to expand commercial and business lending opportunities
- Managing and monitoring the commercial loan portfolio to ensure strong credit quality and risk management
- Conducting financial analysis and evaluating loan applications to make informed, policy‑aligned lending decisions
- Coaching, developing, and managing a high‑performing commercial lending team
- 10+ years of lending experience
, including 5+ years in a leadership or management role - Experience with commercial lending systems, credit analysis tools, financial statements, and cash‑flow evaluation
- Strong communication, analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
- Ability to meet all internal and external compliance requirements;
no clearance required
Salary Range: $230,000–$250,000 depending on experience
