The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the branch manager in the daily operations of a retail Credit Union branch office that develops and grows member relationships, promotes products and services, and delivers efficient operations.
Education And/or Experience- High School Diploma required
- Minimum of three years branch banking experience required as an individual contributor
- Microsoft Word and Excel skills required
- Commissioned notary or can successfully obtain a notary commission in the state where you work within six months of starting in the role required
- Spanish language skills preferred
- Performs routine branch opening, closing, member service, and other operational tasks and activities
- Assumes responsibility for the supervision of the branch office during the manager’s absence.
- Coach staff to cross‑sell and track achievement against sales goals, and provide training on sales techniques
- Helps branch manager in achieving financial, operational, and customer satisfaction goals for the branch
- Resolves member or operational issues
- Coordinates with other Credit Union teams to promote products and represents the Credit Union during community events
- Supports portfolio growth by helping to identify opportunities to deepen relationships and increase member acquisition
- Ensures members receive optimal service and monitor/adheres to operational controls
- Utilizes various systems to access financial and production reports to assess branch performance and to make business decisions to promote profitability as well as the achievement of goals.
- Ensures compliance with Teachers policies and procedures
- Perform all duties inherent in the role of a supervisor
- Perform other duties as needed upon request by immediate supervisor
