Salary Range: $60,000-$65,000
Job SummaryThe Mobile Outreach & Community Services Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the mobile outreach programs team. Responsibilities include managing the programs staff, responding to community service needs, and maintaining inventory and purchasing requirements for program distributions. Excellent knowledge of computer applications, ability to enter data for reporting, submit claims, and perform related administrative tasks. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal staff and individuals in need of services.
EssentialFunctions
- Provide operational support to the Mobile Outreach team, including day-to-day program management, data and information gathering, inventory documentation, responding to referrals, coordinating program schedules, securing appropriate volunteer coverage, scheduling events and appointments, maintaining correspondence, and participating in community meetings.
- Work closely with the Mobile Outreach team to ensure all mobile programs run efficiently and effectively. This includes conducting quality assurance checks, reviewing and updating policies and procedures, completing site visits, and supporting staff and volunteers to ensure program requirements, distributions, and documentation standards are consistently met.
- Oversee the collection of data necessary for reporting. Track progress, fulfill grant requirements, and submit timely reporting.
- Collaborate with staff, managers, and leadership to meet organizational goals, improve service delivery, and strengthen operational consistency across mobile programs.
- Represent Long Island Cares at community meetings, outreach events, and partner engagements.
- Provide information, referrals, and support for individuals and families experiencing crisis, while strengthening community relationships.
- Manage and document staff performance, schedules, attendance, payroll and overall effectiveness.
- Perform other duties and tasks assigned by the VP for Operations and Procurement.

- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and related software.
- Associate’s degree in human services, Social Work, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field OR equivalent work experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in community outreach, program coordination, human services, case management, mobile/distribution programs, or related nonprofit operations.
- Experience supervising staff and/or volunteers.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
- Clean and Valid NYS driver’s license.
- Work related travel required.
