The Role
- Inspect incoming raw material, reviews setup and make‑ready, conduct First Article inspections, in‑process sampling, and final quality acceptance sampling.
- Perform quality tests, including print characteristics, gloss, appearance, dimensions, thickness, product compatibility, scuff/scratch resistance, ink/varnish/foil adhesion, code verification, bond, opening force, closing and drop testing.
- Determine material/product disposition: accept, block, reject.
- Record quality information, enter data into system, and prepare product identification tags (load tags, quarantine tags, scrap authorization tickets, etc.).
- Prepare customer samples, color range books, final product samples, and defect panoplies as required.
- Communicate results to appropriate departments:
Manufacturing, Quality, Customer Service and/or Shipping.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One to three years of experience in quality standards in the printing and folding carton industries.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
- Working knowledge of quality tools and equipment.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers.
- Ability to deal with standard situations with occasional changes and apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
- Correct 20‑20 vision and ability to distinguish colors and printing and folding carton non‑conformances.

Salary: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
