Responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic or electro‑mechanical assembly operations which may include skilled hand work or utilizing automated production equipment. Comprehends and interprets a variety of technical specifications, terms and documents. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing mechanical assembly, wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.

• Use soldering irons, tweezers and other standard wiring and assembly tools in sub‑assembly and final assembly procedures.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics and travelers.
• Use of caliper, micrometer or other measurement devices as required.
• Perform mechanical assembly with hand and power tools as required.

• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years prior relevant experience or 2‑year post‑secondary/Associate degree with 2 years relevant experience.
• Ability to use a microscope to perform assembly procedures for an extended period.
• Ability to work with small parts/components.
