Position: Automation Specialist (PT)

The Automation Specialist represents a cross‑section discipline requiring proportional knowledge in hardware and software development and their applications. These individuals are responsible, individually and as part of a team, for design, development and testing of new and/or existing proprietary ERP and other systems. They also help improve the efficiency of proprietary systems through the review, testing, analysis and maintenance of these systems.

Successful candidates demonstrate excellent organization and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to communicate complex technical information to others.

Required Proficiencies, Background &

Education:
  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or Electrical Engineering (or related field), or working towards one of those degrees; completed at least 80 credits
Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop software programs used to automate the collection, transformation and delivery of data to and throughout ERP and other company systems.
  • Automate test data and test data analysis.
  • Provide training and end‑user support during and after the implementation process.
  • Understand user requirements, maintain constant communication with users to get feedback; suggest improvements and enhance systems as needed.
  • Additional job duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
  • Excellent communication, time management and teamwork skills
  • Good trouble‑shooting skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and manage multiple priorities.
  • Basic understanding of business functions
  • Understanding of manufacturing environments recommended.
  • Must be a self‑motivated team player who likes responsibility
