Prospero Teaching is proud to be working with a specialist SEMH secondary school in Havant, and we're seeking passionate, kind-hearted Youth Development Mentors with a strong interest in sports coaching to join their supportive team.

This isn't just a job-it's an opportunity to be a lifeline for young people navigating emotional and behavioural challenges. You'll be the person who listens, encourages, and helps them build confidence and resilience, both in the classroom and through sport.

What You'll Be Doing

Supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs

Delivering and assisting with sports and physical education sessions

Helping manage behaviour with empathy and consistency

Building strong, respectful relationships with students and staff

Encouraging personal growth, emotional regulation, and academic engagement

What We're Looking For

A caring, patient, and adaptable approach

Experience with SEMH / SEN or communication challenges is a bonus

Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

A commitment to helping students succeed-no matter what

Requirements

Right to work in the UK

Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to apply)

Professional references covering the last 24 months
