ENVIRONMENTAL COORDINATOR

HAVANT, HAMPSHIRE

Our client is a successful and well-respected civil engineering contractor, currently delivering a number of exciting, large infrastructure projects and with ambitious growth plans in place. They are seeking an Environmental Coordinator to work on a large infrastructure project in near Havant, to oversee environmental activities on a live site.

The Environmental Coordinator responsibilities include but are not limited to;

* Overseeing site monitoring programs (air, water, noise & biodiversity)

* Ensuring compliance to environmental legislation and company policies

* Developing, implementing, and reviewing Construction Environmental Plans & Site Waste Management Plans

* Leading environmental investigations

* Support audits under ISO 14001

* Coordinating and preparing permit applications

* Liaising with specialists such as Ecologists & Archaeologists

* Analysis of environmental data, produce reports and record accurately

* Working with the bid team to provide environmental input to bid submissions

* Ensuring industry standards are consistently met

* Assisting in the implantation of biodiversity net gain and carbon reduction

Background & Qualifications;

* Experience of working in an environmental role within the construction or civil engineering sectors

* Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or similar

* ISEP/EIMA – membership or working towards

* Possess a strong understanding of UK environmental and permitting legislation

* Have working knowledge of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System

* Competence in interpreting technical documentation, planning conditions and consent requirements

* Experienced in developing & implementing Environmental Management Plans
