ENVIRONMENTAL COORDINATOR

HAVANT, HAMPSHIRE

Our client is a successful and well-respected civil engineering contractor, currently delivering a number of exciting, large infrastructure projects and with ambitious growth plans in place. They are seeking an Environmental Coordinator to work on a large infrastructure project near Havant, to oversee environmental activities on a live site.

• Overseeing site monitoring programs (air, water, noise & biodiversity)
• Ensuring compliance to environmental legislation and company policies
• Developing, implementing, and reviewing Construction Environmental Plans & Site Waste Management Plans
• Leading environmental investigations
• Supporting audits under ISO 14001
• Coordinating and preparing permit applications
• Liaising with specialists such as ecologists & archaeologists
• Analyzing environmental data, producing reports and recording accurately
• Working with the bid team to provide environmental input to bid submissions
• Ensuring industry standards are consistently met
• Assisting in the implementation of biodiversity net gain and carbon reduction

• Experience of working in an environmental role within the construction or civil engineering sectors
• Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or similar
• ISEP/EIMA membership or working towards it
• Strong understanding of UK environmental and permitting legislation
• Working knowledge of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System
• Competent in interpreting technical documentation, planning conditions and consent requirements
• Experienced in developing & implementing Environmental Management Plans

• Basic salary £40,000 - £50,000
• 25 days annual leave
