Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a background in precision engineering or aerospace manufacturing? Do you enjoy driving continuous improvement, solving technical production challenges and improving manufacturing processes? We’re supporting a leading aerospace manufacturing business in Bedhampton who are looking to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer on a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract
.
- Support manufacturing operations with technical and process engineering expertise
- Act as a liaison between Production, Quality, Suppliers and Customers on engineering issues
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and product lifecycle processes
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes using Lean Manufacturing principles
- Support PFMEA, Control Plans and Standard Operating Procedures
- Analyse production and quality data to identify improvement opportunities
- Lead and support continuous improvement and root cause investigations using tools such as:
- 8D
- Six Sigma
- A3
- Root Cause Analysis
- Support quality, environmental, health and safety systems across manufacturing operations
- Participate in process and product audits
- Support training relating to manufacturing and quality processes
- Assist with validation and implementation of tooling, equipment and test systems
- Degree in Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with in a precision engineering or aerospace manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies
- Understanding of quality tools including:
- PFMEA
- Control Plans
- Root Cause Analysis
- Six Sigma tools
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and geometric tolerances
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Aerospace industry experience
- Knowledge of AS9100, EASA or ISO
14001 standards - CAD experience
- Audit experience or training
- Experience working within cross-functional improvement teams

- Up to £44,190 per annum
