Civil Engineer

THE ROLE We are currently seeking a CIVIL ENGINEER to work on the design of Drainage, Earthworks and Highways. The role is based in LEEDS, WEST YORKSHIRE. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing firm of consulting engineers who offer the right candidates interesting projects to work on and good prospects for promotion. THE CLIENT Our client is a successful, expanding firm of consulting engineers doing Civil, Structural and Geotechnical Engineering.

THE CANDIDATE You will need to have experience of the following:

- You must have a BSc in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering and possibly an MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering would be useful although not essential. You should have around four years or more experience working as a Civil Engineer doing design engineering. Our client would prefer someone who has experience of working for a UK firm of consulting engineers.

You are likely to either be working towards becoming chartered or be keen to work towards chartership. You should have experience in designing and detailing of drainage, earthworks and highways. You should be able to prepare plans and drawings for all stages of the project. You must be able to produce design drawings. You should have used Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D and Civils 3D.

You will report to a Senior or Principal Engineer. You must have worked in the UK for another firm of consulting engineers and have excellent knowledge and experience of using UK codes and regulations. A full UK driving licence is required along with your own vehicle to enable you to attend meetings and get to sites, some of which may be fairly remote.
