We are now looking for a CNC Machinist to join our team working for a better future. The preferred location for the position is in Havant, UK.What you will be doing

As a Design Engineer, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

Drive improvements as part of continuous improvement culture

Working in a safe manner in line with the companies Health and Safety policy

Maintain working area to a good standard as part of 5SEnsure quality is maintained and follow processes for area to company standards

Carry out tasks in accordance with set process times to meet deadlines

Have a flexible approach and at times move onto other disciplines within skill setHelp with skills flex training and cross train others when required.

To be successful in this role we expect you to have:

GCSE/O Level or equivalent.

Apprentice served5 years (min) Engineering experience within the manufacturing industry. (Apprentice Trained)5 years (min) CNC machining experience

Milling and turning experience preferred CI experience (Lean 8 wastes). Safety / 5S work ethic.

Computer Literate (Microsoft)

Experience of working in an Engineering environment.

Previous experience of setting/operating Mazak machines

Ability to read Engineering Drawings Ability to read CNC code, ISO (G code) / Mazatrol Offline Programming Experience Edgecam/Mastercam/Mazatrol - advantageous

Ideally Apprentice served

Understanding of Turning and Milling techniques

Ability to problem solve

Understand Health& Safety environment/procedures Read and understand Engineering drawings

Good communicator with all levels of business (written & verbal) Hands on approach with a strong work ethic
