AboutThe Role
We are currently seeking an IT Support Administrator to join our dynamic team in Havant on a permanent basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about delivering exceptional IT support and customer service. As an integral part of the organization, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance across a broad range of hardware, software, and cloud‑based systems.
Your proactive approach and technical expertise will ensure the smooth operation of IT services, supporting the organization’s goals and enhancing user experience.
The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience in IT support roles, with a strong foundation in troubleshooting and user management. Certifications such as Microsoft Certified, CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ are desirable. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team. Prior experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments, Active Directory, and cloud technologies like Azure will be highly advantageous.
A background in IT asset management, security measures, and working with external vendors or MSPs will also be beneficial.
- Act as a trusted and approachable point of contact for all IT‑related queries, providing first‑ and second‑line support to end users.
- Build strong working relationships with colleagues across the organization, understanding their technical needs and delivering tailored solutions.
- Provide onsite and remote support for hardware, software, and network issues, troubleshooting and resolving incidents efficiently while keeping users informed throughout the process.
- Administer Active Directory, manage user accounts, permissions, and Group Policy settings to ensure security and operational efficiency.
- Configure, deploy, and support laptops, desktops, and mobile devices, ensuring they are secure, up‑to‑date, and functioning correctly.
- Support and maintain Microsoft 365 applications and business systems, ensuring seamless collaboration and productivity.
- Assist with Azure environments and cloud‑based services, supporting the organization’s digital transformation initiatives.
- Monitor and maintain the performance of IT infrastructure, systems, and networks, implementing improvements as needed.
- Implement and support security protocols including Multi‑Factor Authentication (MFA), endpoint protection, patch management, and data encryption to safeguard organizational data.
- Coordinate support activities with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and external vendors to maintain high‑quality IT services.
- Manage IT assets, including hardware and software licenses, ensuring proper lifecycle management and compliance.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes, provisioning and de‑provisioning user accounts and devices.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, procedures, and knowledge base resources to facilitate ongoing support and training.
- Participate in IT projects, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
