Assembly Technician

Overview

Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is seeking an Assembly Technician. You will be part of a team that assembles high-performance hydraulic pumps, motors, electrical generators and other components used to operate flight control systems on civil and military aircraft. The primary function of this role is to assemble new hydraulic pumps, motors and generators. The applicant must be able to interpret drawings and have the necessary skills to build aerospace products in accordance with an SOP. Other duties include participation in 5S and lean manufacturing activities and, at times, involvement in 8D investigations.

Skills:

• An aerospace qualification or another similar manufacturing assembly qualification is advantageous.
• The applicant must be diligent and able to work to tight tolerances and obtain a "stamp" to sign off work confirming it has been completed in accordance with all relevant specifications.
• The successful applicant will handle US ITAR controlled technology, goods and information. As a condition of employment, employees with access to ITAR-controlled technology and goods may be required to undergo additional screening as part of the recruitment process.
