Week 1: 06:00 - 14:00
Week 2: 14:00 - 22:00

The Opportunity

A leading precision engineering manufacturer is looking to recruit an experienced Centreless Grinder Setter/Operator to join its growing production team in Havant.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and highly respected manufacturer producing precision-engineered components to exacting standards. You'll play a key role within the machining department, setting and operating centreless grinding machinery while ensuring parts meet stringent quality and tolerance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate centreless grinding machines.
Carry out plunge and through-feed grinding operations.
Produce components to tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
Read and work from engineering drawings and specifications.
Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment.
Make machine adjustments to maintain accuracy and productivity.
Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

Skills & Experience Required

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

Previous experience as a Centreless Grinder Setter/Operator.

Experience with plunge and/or through-feed grinding processes.
The ability to work to tight tolerances and demanding quality standards.
Experience using micrometers, verniers, gauges and other inspection equipment.
The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
A strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
A proactive and reliable approach to work.

Experience with in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
Candidates must have the right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, sponsorship is not available for this position, and applicants requiring visa sponsorship cannot be considered.
