We are seeking a proactive and highly organised administrator to support the daily operations of our Havelock processing site.
About the roleAs Factory Administrator, you’ll play a key role in supporting our people, processes and site operations. You’ll coordinate the induction and onboarding of new staff, maintain accurate personnel documentation, manage PPE and access systems, and provide essential administrative support across production, logistics, quality and HR.
Working closely with the Operations Manager, supervisors, HR and external partners, you’ll help keep our factory running smoothly while contributing to a positive and organised workplace environment.
Role Accountabilities- Coordinate induction and onboarding for new staff, ensuring all documentation is completed and compliant
- Support recruitment processes, including interviewing preferred candidates and liaising with recruitment agencies
- Manage PPE issuing, replenishment and returns, ensuring all employees are equipped correctly
- Administer gate access allocation, tracking and returns for all staff
- Maintain accurate personnel files and post-employment documentation in collaboration with Payroll and HR
- Support the Seafood Processing Technical Learning framework and develop as a Workplace Assessor
- Build capability in new team members through engaging them in the learning and development framework
- Provide administrative support across logistics, production, quality and site operations as required
- Review administrative processes and recommend updates to improve factory efficiency
- Act as the site liaison for community events, factory visits and external programmes
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Excellent organisation, accuracy and attention to detail
- Confidence working with computer systems, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to work proactively, handle multiple priorities and support a busy operational environment
- NCEA Level 3 or equivalent (tertiary qualification beneficial)
- Experience in the food, primary or seafood industry is an advantage
