We are seeking an experienced operational leader to take charge of our Havelock processing site and drive safe, efficient and high-performing production.

About the role

As Processing Operations Manager, you’ll oversee the execution of the production plan, champion continuous improvement, and ensure our people, processes and systems support high-quality output. You’ll work closely with supervisors, engineering, quality, logistics and key internal stakeholders to keep operations running smoothly and aligned with wider business strategy.

Role Accountabilities:
  • Manage day-to-day site operations across both shifts to ensure safe, reliable and efficient performance.
  • Execute the production plan and ensure all products meet required quality, specifications and customer expectations.
  • Control operational budgets, manage costs and maintain performance to agreed KPIs.
  • Uphold and continuously improve food safety, compliance, quality and operational systems.
  • Lead, develop and engage supervisors and frontline teams to build capability and drive high performance.
  • Identify and implement innovation and improvement initiatives that enhance long-term operational effectiveness.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, regulatory bodies and external service providers to support seamless site operations.
What you need to succeed in the role:
  • Proven leadership experience in manufacturing, food production or similar high-volume environments
  • Strong people leadership skills with the ability to inspire, coach and develop teams
  • Commercial acumen and experience managing budgets and driving operational performance
  • Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills
  • A focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement
  • Relevant tertiary or industry qualifications
