Warehouse Worker II, 1st shift PT Inventory

Position is non-exempt and covered under The McNamara-O Hara Service Contract Act (SCA). Compensation follows prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits set by the U.S. Department of Labor unless modified by a collective bargaining agreement.

Job Summary:

As directed, the Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties that require understanding the establishment s storage plan. Responsibilities include verifying materials against receiving documents, reporting discrepancies and damages, routing materials to storage locations, storing and palletizing materials, taking inventory, examining materials for deterioration, and preparing items for shipment. This role may operate hand or power trucks as part of warehousing duties.

(SCA applicable roles described below.)

Exclude workers whose primary duties involve shipping and receiving, order filling, or operating forklifts, unless specified otherwise.

Essential Functions
  • Understand and use the Government provided Warehouse Management System (WMS) and other Government Data Systems to perform the requirements of the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
  • Provide responsive communication to the Compliance Team (Inventory, Customer Service, and Quality Control) regarding any system discrepancies that cannot be resolved.
  • Communicate in a professional manner with co-workers, site management, and CGA regarding operations and policies at the Distribution Center.
  • Understand and meet established productivity and quality control goals associated with the assigned functional area / process.
  • Follow established guidelines in day-to-day tasks as outlined in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Technical Manuals, and Audit Readiness standards.
  • Understand the Acceptable Performance Levels (APL s) and work expeditiously to meet contractual and team goals.
  • Adhere to government, contract, and company policies and procedures.
  • Use email to receive and disseminate workload tasks and information.
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in alignment with Management and Contract Compliance Plan.
  • Adhere to PTi quality, safety, and environmental standards.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
  • May be required to handle equipment/supplies weighing up to 50 pounds individually and occasionally more with assistance.
  • Must be able to exert moderate physical effort in loading, unloading, and arranging equipment/supplies.
  • Work may be inside or outside in dirty and dusty environments and may expose you to hot, cold, damp, and drafty conditions.
  • Be able to work on hard or uneven surfaces.
Qualifications Experience
  • Use of warehouse equipment such as forklifts and handcarts
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines and practices
  • Knowledge of governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, and manuals
  • Knowledge of PPPM processes and procedures
  • Ability to plan, control, and execute multiple tasks and ensure successful completion of work requirements
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
Skills
  • Ability to read and write in English, comprehend instructions, perform basic mathematical tasks, and communicate effectively
  • Attention to detail and strong follow-up skills
  • Material Handling Equipment (MHE) training
  • Ability to identify discrepancies in receipt timing and SDR processes
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance applicable to the position and/or CAC within 30 days if required
  • Successful completion of WMS training, OSHA compliance, and associated DLA SOP
  • Completion of company mandated training applicable to position
Education
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
  • Warehouse experience
  • Experience with hazardous material storage and shipments
  • Military or DLA experience
