Salary Details

ALS1 - ALS4 (£26,386 - £31,139 pro rata)
without teaching qualification

MG1 - UP1 (£33,596 - £48,288 pro rata)
with teaching qualification

Opportunity to progress onto a further scale

UP2-UP3 (£50,079 - £51,932 pro rata)

0.6 FTE - equivalent to 22.5 hours per week / 501 annual teaching hours

Contract Type

Salaried - Permanent

Holiday Entitlement

28 days plus statutory bank holidays & college efficiency closures per annum (based on 46 days full time equivalent pro rata)

Qualifications

• You will hold a minimum Level 4 qualification in a Health Science/Medical Science related field or equivalent
• If you do not hold a recognised teaching qualification (such as PGCE), you will be required to undertake and achieve a PGCE within a specified timescale. The PGCE will be fully funded by Pembrokeshire College and you will be given the appropriate time to attend the in-house course.

You will have recent and relevant experience in the field of Health & Social Care, specifically human biology/medical science and ideally have previous experience of teaching or training within this specialism. Experience working with young adults in an educational or training capacity would be advantageous.

Our Health & Social Care provision includes programmes at Levels 1, 2, and 3, as well as Access to Higher Education courses. Subject areas delivered within these programmes include:
Principles and Values, Ethics, Legislation, Psychology, Sociology, Physiology, Human Lifespan Development, Caring for Adults, Children and Young People, Human Biology, Medical Science, Health and Wellbeing, and preparation for progression into Higher Education within the healthcare sector.
