Grade 6 – £28,142 for 22 hours per week term time only for 45.8 weeks per annum (equating to £14,698.41 pro rata).
Salary:
Grade 6 – £28,142 to £31,022 pro rata.
Contractual hours: 22 per week.

- Prepare Personal Statements of learning for learners.
- Plan and deliver Digital Skills courses (linked to the Adult curriculum and learners’ needs).
- Review and assist learners to evaluate their progress.
- Maintain records of learners’ progress.
- Maintain a teaching file which includes a scheme of work and lesson plans.
- Prepare learners for accreditation.
- Assist learners in producing good quality portfolios, including completion of relevant documentation.
- Deliver both daytime and evening classes at various Community Learning Centres and outreach locations.
- Complete registers, returns, etc. as requested.
- Report for duty a quarter of an hour before the class commences.
- Ensure the necessary resources are available for learning to take place.
- Check that the class venue is in order at the end of the session.
- Attend staff training and meetings and participate in team events.
- Engage in personal professional development and complete all mandatory training as required.
- Pay due heed to Health and Safety issues in accordance with the Council’s policies and procedures.
- Maintain the security of personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018.
- Carry out relevant duties as requested by the line manager.
Applicants should hold a PGCE, Level 3 or 4 Essential Skills Practitioner Award (alternative teaching qualification may be considered), have experience teaching adults, good IT skills, and insight into Digital Literacy issues.
