Working closely with curriculum teams, Safeguarding and Inclusion colleagues, parents/carers, and external agencies where appropriate, you will play a key role in creating a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment where all learners can thrive.
Salary: BS22-25 (currently £29,440 - £31,878 pro rata)
Hours of Work:
Post 1: 2 days (0.4 FTE), 15 hours per week, 38 weeks per year
Post 2: 1.5 days (0.3 FTE), 11.25 hours per week, 38 weeks per year
We may consider combining these two positions to create a single role, depending on the skills and experience of applicants.
These fractionalised and pro rata posts will be paid in equal amounts over 12 months and will include payment for the pro rata accrued annual leave (as annual leave cannot be taken within the working periods). Please note, this is subject to the commencement date of employment.
Qualifications/Experience:
- You will have an excellent level of basic education.
- Hold a minimum relevant level 3 qualification.
- Experience of working with learners in a similar role or with learners on a one-to-one basis is essential.
- Knowledge of PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education) or similar programmes would be advantageous.
- Be confident delivering presentations and facilitating activities for both small and large groups of learners.
You will be self-motivated, enthusiastic and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. You will also possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to set targets and motivate individuals towards achieving agreed goals.
