Music Lecturer
Salary: ALS1-ALS4 (£26,386 - £31,139 pro rata) without a teaching qualification; MG1-UP1 (£33,596 - £48,288 pro rata) with a teaching qualification.
Contract: 0.2 FTE Fixed-Term until 2 July 2027 (subject to confirmation). Teaching is generally on Fridays, with occasional additional hours required to support projects, rehearsals, performances and events.
Qualifications: A relevant degree in Music, Music Performance, Music Production, Performing Arts or a related discipline. A recognised teaching qualification is desirable; support will be provided to achieve one if required.
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and inspiring music educator to join our expanding Music department and contribute to the delivery of University of the Arts London Level 2 and Level 3 Diploma programmes. This is an excellent opportunity for a professionally active and industry-aware practitioner to support students in developing their creative, technical and performance skills.
What We Are Looking For
You will plan, deliver and assess engaging learning activities that reflect contemporary music industry practice. Experience in areas such as rehearsal and performance skills, music production, live sound, event delivery and project-based learning would be highly advantageous. You will be committed to helping students apply their learning through real-world projects, performances and collaborative activities.
The successful candidate will be an effective communicator with strong organisational skills, a collaborative approach and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting learner achievement and progression.
