Solicitor / Lawyer (Contracts and Procurement) – Pembrokeshire County Council

Grade 10 – £47,181 to £50,269 per annum

Full‑time, fixed‑term contract; 37 hours per week. The position is open ended.

About the Role

Assisting the Principal Solicitor in the Non‑contentious team with a range of legal matters and duties on behalf of the Council.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing legal advice and support on contracts and procurement matters.
  • Managing non‑contentious legal work and related documentation.
  • Advising on compliance with local government legislation and procedures.
  • Supporting continuous improvement, reflection and learning within the Legal Department.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Qualified Barrister, Solicitor or Legal Executive with relevant experience.
  • Proven expertise in contract and procurement work.
  • Experience advising on local government legislation is desirable.
  • Strong communication and professional skills.
  • Welsh language skills desirable; applications may be submitted in Welsh.
