Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Emergency Nurse to develop skills in the role of Junior Sister/Charge Nurse at Withybush General Hospital, Haverfordwest. The role combines clinical practice (care coordination), leadership, management, and supervision of the Emergency Department nursing team.

• Deliver high quality nursing care in the Emergency Department.
• Coordinate patient care and work closely with multidisciplinary teams.
• Supervise and mentor the nursing staff as a squad supervisor.
• Prepare the team for future challenges, apply policies and standards.
• Manage crisis situations, maintain calm, troubleshoot effectively.

• Current NMC registration.
• Experience as a Band 5 Registered Nurse in an emergency setting.
• Qualification with a relevant post‑graduate diploma or course.
• Strong clinical competence in triage and critical care assessment.
• Leadership and diplomacy, teaching experience/mentorship.
• Adherence to the NMC Code.
• Basic computer skills.

• Relevant emergency courses, ALS, E‑PLS.
• Welsh language speaker (Level
  1).
• Experience with reform initiatives in emergency care.
