Quantity Surveyor – Fire Protection

📍 Based from Haverhill, Suffolk
💼 Full-time | Permanent

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team, based from Haverhill, working on a range of fire protection projects across residential, commercial, and public sector schemes.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded QS with a background in fire safety works to play a key role in delivering compliant, high-quality projects.

Key Responsibilities

* Commercial management of fire protection contracts (passive & active systems)

* Cost planning, budgeting, and financial reporting

* Preparation and submission of valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts

* Managing subcontractor packages, procurement, and cost control

* Change management, variations, and risk mitigation

* Ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations and contract requirements

* Working closely with project managers, site teams, and clients

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within fire protection, fire stopping, fire doors, or related specialist construction works

* Strong understanding of commercial processes and contract administration

* Knowledge of relevant fire safety standards and building regulations

* Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills

* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects

* Full UK driving licence (projects may involve travel)
