Mechanical Engineering Technician

Role Overview

Reporting to the Maintenance Lead, you will maintain and improve mechanical equipment and site systems to ensure continuous production. You will undertake planned and reactive maintenance, support fault-finding, and help maintain high standards of safety, quality and environmental compliance.

• Carry out mechanical maintenance and servicing tasks
• Complete task-based risk assessments and maintain compliance with safety procedures
• Collaborate with operations and technical teams to align maintenance priorities
• Liaise with contractors and suppliers to ensure work is completed efficiently
• Assist with mechanical troubleshooting and continuous improvement
• Undertake additional duties to support site operations

• Experience with hazardous materials and awareness of associated risks
• Practical skills with tools, including grinding and welding
• Experience in chemical manufacturing or hazardous area environments
• Ability to interpret technical drawings
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD
