Following a successful hire at their Midlands site, our client is now growing again and looking to add a CAD Designer to their Haverhill, Suffolk office. This is a technically grounded, commercially minded design role sitting right at the point where concept meets manufacture.

You’ll be designing retail and point of sale products that actually get built. Not just visual ideas, but engineered, cost-aware, production-ready solutions that move smoothly from screen to shopfloor.

• Producing accurate 3D CAD models for retail and point of sale units, fixtures and components
• Developing clear visuals and presentations that communicate intent to clients
• Taking concepts through refinement, feedback and value engineering
• Preparing full technical drawing packs for manufacture, including assemblies, components and fabrication details
• Designing with joinery, metalwork and overseas production in mind, not in isolation
• Liaising closely with internal production teams to validate feasibility
• Supporting overseas manufacturers with clear, detailed technical information
• Maintaining clean documentation, version control and drawing standards

This is hands-on product development. You’ll be expected to think about materials, tolerances and buildability from day one.

• Experience in retail design or point of sale environments
• Strong CAD capability, ideally Autodesk Inventor
• Solid Works experience is welcomed if you’re open to transitioning
• A practical understanding of joinery and metal fabrication
• Confidence in producing detailed manufacturing drawings
• A calm, methodical approach to managing multiple live projects
• Strong attention to detail and pride in technical accuracy
