Salary:
Up to £55,000 per annum + £5,000 car allowance
Contract:
Permanent or Freelance option available
Hours:
Monday-Friday, 07:00-17:00

Matchtech is seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer on behalf of a long‑standing civil engineering contractor delivering major works on the Sizewell C nuclear new‑build project. The employer is an established Tier 1 contractor known for delivering complex infrastructure, heavy civils, and large‑scale utilities packages across the UK.
The successful engineer will join the team responsible for drainage works and Zone 3 Water Management activities, playing a key role in ensuring the safe, high‑quality delivery of a critical section of the project.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee day‑to‑day site engineering activities for drainage and water management works.
- Manage setting‑out, QA, and technical delivery in line with project specifications.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, site teams, and the wider project engineering group.
- Maintain accurate site records, ITP compliance, and engineering documentation.
- Ensure works are carried out safely and efficiently within programme constraints.
- Provide technical support to junior engineers and supervisors on site.
- Strong background in civil engineering, ideally within drainage, utilities, rc frames etc
- Experience working on major infrastructure or large‑scale civils projects.
- Proficient in setting‑out, QA systems, and reading technical drawings.
- CSCS card required; SSSTS/SMSTS desirable.
- Ability to work on a large, high‑security site (clearance process required).
- A civil engineering degree or diploma would be ideal
- Up to £55,000 base salary + £5,000 car allowance (PAYE).
