Electrical Construction Manager

Client:
Our client is a leading Mechanical & Electrical contractor operating in London and the home counties. Having been established for 20 years they benefit from a large amount of repeat business. They pride themselves on being able to deliver technically, logistically challenging and fast-paced schemes. With a turnover in excess of £50M they operate in Commercial Office, Public sectors and high end residential.

Their clients included:
Galliford Try, British Land, Mace and Sir Robert McAlpine, to name a few.
Role:
Electrical Construction Manager – Suffolk – Rate £325-£375 per day or permanent equivalent
Reporting to a Lead Project Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a £18m M&E package within their own discipline. The project is a new build security facility. Key to this role is managing the project at site level; ensuring it is completed on time, to a high quality and within budget.
Role/Responsibilities:
 
* Design Review (scope gaps / clashes)
 
* Short term programming.
 
* Health & Safety (RAMS).
 
* Technical Submissions.
 
* Preparation/issuing all RFI.
 
* Sub-contractor coordination.
 
* Management of commissioning stages
 
* Liaising with client team, main contractor and sub-contractors
 
* Progress meetings with sub-contractors, professional teams and client
The ideal candidate:
 
* Progressed from a tools background and have good technical knowledge of electrical services.
 
* Experience managing projects to a minimum of £5M within your own discipline
 
* A minimum 5 years’ experience in a management role
 
* Ideally the candidate will have subcontracted to main contractors such as Sir Robert McAlpine, ISg, Mace, Wates, etc
