Maintenance Engineer
Location:
Haverhill, Suffolk
Salary: £52,000
Shift: 4 on 4 off DAYS – 05:30–17:30
Benefits: 8% employer pension contribution
£52,000. Days only. 4 on 4 off. No night shifts.

We’re recruiting a Maintenance Engineer for a leading food manufacturer at their Haverhill site. You’ll be joining an established engineering team within a stable, well-invested manufacturing environment.
This is a varied Maintenance Engineer role covering both electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault finding, breakdowns and planned maintenance across a busy production site.
What you’ll be doing
As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll be responsible for keeping production machinery running safely and reliably.
You’ll be:
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across electrical and mechanical equipment
* Responding to breakdowns and getting machinery back up and running
* Fault finding across production machinery, control systems and ancillary equipment
* Identifying ways to improve reliability and reduce downtime
* Supporting continuous improvement and lean manufacturing projects
* Ensuring all engineering work is completed safely and to site standards
* Working alongside the wider engineering and production teams
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for a Maintenance Engineer who has:
* NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or equivalent
* Electrical and mechanical maintenance experience
* Experience with in manufacturing, production or a similar fast-paced environment
* Strong fault-finding and breakdown skills
* A good understanding of health and safety
* Experience with lean manufacturing or TPM would be beneficial
* Breathing Apparatus and Fire Fighting certification would be advantageous, but isn't essential
