We are currently recruiting for a Technical Operator to join a busy manufacturing environment in Haverhill, Suffolk, with the opportunity to become permanent following a successful temporary period.
This is a hands-on production role suited to someone who takes pride in working safely, following procedures and producing high-quality work. You will be responsible for carrying out production operations, operating and monitoring equipment, completing quality checks and supporting the wider team to meet production targets.
The Role- Carrying out production and manufacturing operations in line with standard operating procedures.
- Completing hand assembly, packing and other production activities to a high standard.
- Operating and monitoring machinery and production equipment.
- Carrying out quality checks on your own work and identifying any issues within agreed limits.
- Recording production information and statistics accurately.
- Identifying and reporting machinery, equipment or process irregularities.
- Escalating any problems affecting production, quality or training requirements.
- Following a "stop and fix" approach where issues are identified.
- Working safely and in accordance with company procedures, policies and rules.
- Learning and carrying out a range of production operations across different areas of the site.
- Supporting colleagues and working as part of a team to achieve production targets.
- Carrying out technical activities involving complex equipment and quality-critical processes.
- Maintaining a disciplined and structured approach to all work.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, practical and willing to learn. You should be comfortable working in a structured manufacturing environment and have a strong focus on safety and quality.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, FMCG or medical environment.
- Experience working to standard operating procedures and established processes.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- An understanding or appreciation of electrical and mechanical principles.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Experience of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) would be advantageous.
- A disciplined and structured approach to work.
- The confidence to ask for help or clarification when required.
- A willingness to learn new skills and work across different areas of the site.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- £14.00 per hour.
