CV Technical are working with a well-established food manufacturing business who are looking to add a Line Technician to their production team.
This is a hands-on technical role working with automated food production and packaging machinery. You'll be responsible for keeping your line running efficiently, carrying out changeovers, adjustments and first-line fault finding, while working closely with the engineering and production teams.
The RoleAs a Line Technician, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running and performance of an automated production line.
- Setting up and operating automated production machinery
- Carrying out product and format changeovers
- Adjusting machinery to maintain production output and quality
- Carrying out first-line fault finding and resolving minor breakdowns
- Identifying issues with machinery and escalating more complex faults to the Maintenance Engineers
- Monitoring line performance, downtime, waste and OEE
- Carrying out basic mechanical adjustments and maintenance
- Working with conveyors, fillers, baggers, weighing and packaging equipment
- Monitoring sensors, motors, pneumatics and other production equipment
- Supporting planned maintenance and cleaning activities
- Completing production and quality documentation
- Working closely with the Production and Engineering teams to minimise downtime
- Supporting continuous improvement and identifying opportunities to improve line efficiency
- Ensuring all food safety, hygiene and Health & Safety procedures are followed
We're looking for someone with previous experience working around production machinery or automated manufacturing equipment.

- Maintenance Technician
You’ll ideally have:
- Experience working with automated production machinery
- Previous experience within manufacturing, FMCG or food production
- Experience carrying out machine setups and changeovers
- Good mechanical aptitude and basic fault-finding skills
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving production issues
- The ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced production environment
- Good understanding of Health & Safety and food hygiene requirements
- Engineering or technical qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential
- Up to £35,000
- Monday-Thursday, 6:00am-4:00pm
- 4-day working week
- Overtime available on Fridays
