Salary: TBC – dependent on experience
Job type: Permanent (subject to a six-month probation period)
Holiday: 31 days including Bank Holidays (three days over Christmas mandatory)
Pension: 6% company contributions

The business is doubling in size year on year and is looking for highly dynamic, positive, driven individuals to join our team and share in our incredibly exciting journey.
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail‑oriented Installation Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, alignment, and commissioning of modular buildings, including full panel installation, inter‑module connections, and associated mechanical and electrical works. This role offers an excellent opportunity to apply a broad range of technical skills within a fast‑growing modular construction environment.
The ideal candidate will bring strong mechanical knowledge, hands‑on experience with modular units or prefabricated systems, and confidence in reading and interpreting technical drawings. Proficiency in fabrication, troubleshooting, and installation‑based problem solving is highly desirable. This paid position is well suited to individuals eager to expand their expertise within a collaborative team delivering high‑quality modular build installations.
Responsibilities
- Install and commission modular buildings, including setting out, alignment and securing of modules.
- Fit and seal internal panels, ceiling panels and interface details in line with technical specifications.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation layouts.
- Carry out design adjustments or layout optimisations to ensure accurate installation.
- Perform root‑cause analysis on installation or system faults & implement effective corrective actions.
- Apply GD&T principles to ensure accurate fit‑up of components, panels and structural interfaces.
- Support fabrication tasks & provide technical guidance on mechanical assembly & panel preparation.
- Conduct maintenance, upgrades and remedial works on modular units as required.
- Ensure all installation activities follow systems‑engineering principles for seamless integration.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including installation procedures, panel layouts, as‑built drawings and technical reports.
Experience & Skills
- Experience installing modular buildings, prefabricated systems or panel‑based construction (preferred).
- Strong understanding of installation principles and best practices.
- Experience in construction, modular manufacturing or systems‑engineering environments.
- Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings, panel schedules and installation schematics.
- problem‑solving skills with a methodical approach to installation challenges.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a site‑based team in fast‑paced environments.
