A leading manufacturer of custom HVAC accessories is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join its finance team. This position plays a key role in overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, and supporting cost accounting and inventory management processes within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily accounting functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes.
- Perform bank and account reconciliations, including intercompany transactions.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Partner with internal departments to ensure accurate accounting for business activities.
- Prepare documentation and schedules to support internal and external audits.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency.
- Participate in the implementation and optimization of a new ERP system.
- Manage and process weekly payroll.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Controller.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
- 2‑4 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on accuracy and detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (Epicor, SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, Microsoft Dynamics preferred);
Epicor experience highly desirable. - Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Self‑motivated and capable of working independently in a fast‑paced setting.
- Familiarity with financial analysis and budgeting processes.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Primarily office‑based, with occasional travel to the Randolph location as needed.
