- Cost manufacturing work orders and track raw material, labor, inventory, and R&D spend
- Prepare monthly cost of sales, compare actual to standard costs, and explain variances
- Build and maintain standard cost data and keep FIFO inventory valuation accurate
- Help book the monthly cost of sales and scrap journal entries
- Support internal and external audits and handle ad hoc analysis requests
- BS with 5+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with standard costing, variance analysis, inventory valuation, BOMs, and month-end close
- Advanced Excel skills
- Great Plains and/or SAP experience is a plus
- Detail-oriented, and able to explain why the numbers moved, not only report them
