Job Summary Basic Beginnings is seeking an experienced and energetic Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our team! You will be responsible for encouraging children’s intellectual, psychological, and physical growth. The ideal candidate is nurturing, patient, and creative. If you have a passion for helping children learn and reach their potential, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

Must be able to plan and implement a curriculum

Provide basic care and caregiving activities

Evaluate children to ensure they are reaching developmental milestones

Must communicate effectively with parents, children, and staff members

Must be able to attend monthly staff meetings

Patient, kind, and nurturing

Must be able to bend & lift up to 40 pounds

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years experience working in a licensed childcare center required

EEC Teacher and/or Lead Teacher Certification Required

Knowledgeable of EEC regulations and assessment tools such as Teaching Strategies Gold, Creative Curriculum, and others

Strong understanding of child development

Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills required

Must possess classroom management skills

Must possess effective behavior management skills

Must have the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously

Current First Aid and CPR certification

Required to maintain minimum workshop requirements
