The organization is a recognized leader in the manufacturing of precision-machined aerospace components. We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a 2nd Shift Engine Lathe Operator. The primary responsibility of this role is to skillfully and efficiently set up and operate engine lathe equipment to produce high-quality parts.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to consistently machine parts to precise tolerances.
• Analyze new machining methods and troubleshoot issues to optimize performance.
• Perform necessary calculations and use inspection tools to ensure all quality standards are met.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Consistently perform duties in a productive and efficient manner.
• Monitor and maintain appropriate levels of coolant and lubricants on a daily basis.

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or completion of a vocational/technical training program with hands-on experience, either in school or in a machine shop environment.
• Training or familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC), team collaboration, and problem-solving is considered an asset.
• Solid understanding and use of steady rests and wall variation gauges.
• Proficient in the use of 4-jaw and Buck chucks.
• Capable of machining within tight tolerances of +/- .001".
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
