Staff Nurse (LPN or RN) - Residential Group Homes - Haverhill, MA
Join to apply for the Staff Nurse (LPN or RN) role at Waystone HHS. We are seeking a dedicated LPN or RN to provide medical care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a group home setting. As a staff nurse, you will support the wellbeing of 4-5 individuals by assisting with clinical assessments, administering medications, providing treatments, and educating direct support professionals on personal care.
Location& Hours
Location: Haverhill (Group home setting)
Part-time: less than 25 hours per week
Schedule: Tuesday & Sunday, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm;
Saturday & Sunday, 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm
- LPN: $32.00 – $38.30 per hour
- RN: $33.50 – $39.50 per hour

- Administer medications on-site in the assigned home
- Perform daily health assessments for all assigned individuals
- Ensure safe and effective personal care, including bathing, feeding, and mobility support
- Provide skilled nursing care as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Train and support staff in medical protocols, personal care techniques, specific treatments, and healthy lifestyle practices
- Accompany individuals on community outings and medical appointments
- Assess medical equipment for safety, functionality, and appropriateness
- Maintain and update medical records accurately and in a timely manner
- Order medication and inventory when needed
- Review medication administration records and other medical documentation for accuracy and compliance
- Current Massachusetts LPN or RN license in good standing
- Experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities is a plus
- Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English to accurately follow care plans, document services provided, and communicate effectively with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals
- Organizational skills, computer literacy, and the ability to document electronically
- Ability to travel within the service area of residential programs and medical appointments
- Valid driver’s license in good standing and a minimum of one year of driving experience; must be able to drive wheelchair-accessible vans
