Overview
Nurse Practitioner - Surgical Service (Ortho)
Position within the Surgical Services Department, providing pre-operative and postoperative care for orthopedic patients.
Responsibilities- Provide pre-operative and postoperative care appropriate to patients of all ages within the orthopedic service line.
- Assess patient care needs to identify potential or existing problems and determine the needs of in-patient, outpatient, and/or emergency room surgical patients.
- Assess and report changes in patient condition.
- Administer patient medications safely and efficiently.
- Document care, response to care, and changes in patient condition.
- Current Massachusetts NP license.
- DEA registration.
- Surgical practice experience.
