Travel LPN - LPN

American Traveler is hiring an LPN for a long-term care facility night shift position requiring an active license and 3+ years of nursing experience.

• Current active LPN or RN license required (if applicable)
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Ability to read, write, and speak English in a legible and understandable manner
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull 40 lbs
• Able to stand for up to 4 hours per day, bend, squat, stoop, kneel, and walk
• Able to cope with physical and mental job stress

• Work in a long-term care (LTC) facility
• Night shift schedule, 11p-7a
• 13-week assignment
• Provide nursing care including medication administration, treatments, and narcotic counts
• Observe and report resident symptoms and conditions
• Maintain records of resident condition, medication, treatments, and progress
• Transcribe physician orders and place drug orders
• Assist with nursing history, assessments, MDS, and care plans
• Assist in orientation and supervision of nursing staff including CNAs
• Perform resident admissions and discharges
• Notify physicians, NPs, and family members of changes in resident status
• Assume Charge Nurse responsibilities when necessary
• Coordinate CNA assignments and supervise CNAs directly
• Report to the Unit Manager
