Qualifications Engineer

Overview

We’re looking for a Qualifications Engineer to support our Havre de Grace, MD facility at Syensqo.

• Initiate, develop, and execute product qualifications in support of raw material or finished goods changes for aerospace materials.
• Lead and support qualifications of emerging and/or existing products to enable new business opportunities.
• Interpret and recommend qualification strategies in compliance with corporate standards.
• Develop close collaborative relationships with manufacturing, quality, customer engineering, and account managers.
• Foster relationships with suppliers and customers to facilitate effective requalification projects.
• Follow change management procedures in coordination with site and global quality organizations.

• BS in Chemistry, Polymer/Materials Science, or an Engineering discipline (recent graduates welcome).
• Experience in the composites industry is a plus.
• Self‑starter with minimal supervision.
• Strong sense of urgency and high quality standards.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and solve complex technical problems.
• Excellent organization skills and project management capability.
• Basic to intermediate understanding of composite resin families, fibers, and test methods.
• Functional understanding of statistical analysis.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
• Travel occasionally required.

• Competitive salary range $78,000–$106,000 per year (total compensation includes bonuses and incentives).
