Research Technician

Talascend is currently seeking a Research Technician for a contract opportunity located in Havre de Grace, MD.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Laboratory Technician to support scientific research and testing in the area of precipitated silica. This role involves the use of analytical equipment, conducting application testing, and assisting with the synthesis and functionalization of silicas.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of research activities to support ongoing projects.
• Conduct scientific experiments and contribute to the application of findings.
• Extract, combine, and analyze data to generate standard reports.
• Assist in developing testing standards and procedures under supervision.
• Produce accurate reports by collecting and formatting data from standard sources.

Requirements:

• University degree in a science-related field OR High School/Associate degree with additional relevant experience.
• 3+ years of laboratory experience.
• Proficient in standard laboratory procedures and systems.
• Basic experience working in a chemistry laboratory environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately.
