Brief Position Overview
Montana State University-Northern ( MSUN ), invites applications for an academic-year (10-month) Instructor/Assistant Professor of Electrical Technology to begin immediately. Effective teaching is the primary mission of this position and MSU
-Northern. Make a lasting impact on student success, and in the trade’s industry as a whole by teaching electrical technology courses and supervise student electrical trainees in a two-year associate of applied science degree program.
The faculty member will teach approximately 24 semester credit hours of classes per year in the areas of basic electrical theory, hand tool and instrument usage, electrical distribution, and residential wiring practices and regulations.
The successful candidate will join the faculty of this thriving department in the College of Technical Sciences. Faculty work in person in a climate-controlled indoor setting typical of an office environment, and conduct instruction in indoor classroom spaces and two separate lab areas at our 115-acre residential campus located in Havre, Montana.

Or, after 4 months, their dependents are eligible for MUS Dependent Tuition Waiver Benefit and is 50% of the residential tuition.
Annual Salary:
Official offers of employment and salary are made exclusively through the Office of the Provost and will vary, as is consistent with the CBA , based upon each individual candidate’s unique combination of education and experience. The employment contract follows the academic year typically beginning in August and ending in May.
